Orthodontics

Orthodontics Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment of complicated teeth, cavities.

Many methods can be used during orthodontic treatment, from very simple exercises to porcelain wires, skeletal support systems, lingual brackets. Wire treatment is a long and laborious process. At the beginning of this process, people usually complain a lot about crooked teeth. When braces are first worn, after a 3-4-day habituation phase, braces become accustomed to and now these braces become part of our body. The fact that people who wear braces do not pay much attention to the first few days of troubles is the most important step in ending the treatment earlier and effectively. Oral tissues are the body tissue that heals the fastest in the body. The most important issue to be considered in wire treatment is that the cleaning of the teeth is done very well and the wires are protected. At the end of the braces treatment, the teeth line up quite nicely. What remains for you is not to neglect the care of your teeth and to enjoy your smile throughout your life. It is natural to have sensitivity and a feeling of movement in the teeth during treatment, especially after monthly appointments. In this case, you should not worry and get information from your doctor if necessary. Hard foods can tear off your brackets and damage your gums. The rupture of the brackets will also disrupt the treatment, and if it happens frequently, it will even cause the treatment to be completed. For this reason, it is very hard during treatment (nuts, bony meat, etc.) foods should not be consumed, fruits should be peeled and sliced, then eaten with back teeth, the cores of core fruits (such as olives and plums) should be removed.

The difficulties associated with orthodontic treatment are easy to get used to and are practically not felt after the first few days of treatment. The positive change that occurs in your smile during and after the treatment will be worth all these difficulties.

If you have any of the following, you may be a candidate for orthodontic treatment:
» Cases where the upper front teeth protrude too far forward over the lower teeth
» The lower teeth are pushed forward, and the upper ones go inside
» Crossbite is cases where the upper teeth do not slightly drop in front of the lower teeth with a normal bite
» Open bite – the presence of anterior and/or lateral teeth between the biting surfaces when the back teeth bite together
» An incorrectly positioned middle line - if the center of your upper front teeth does not coincide with the center of your lower front teeth
» Gaps between teeth as a result of missing teeth.
» Misalignment – insufficient jaw size for teeth.
